IchooseTv Streams “No-Wastage” Ads On The Net

A new internet TV service has been unveiled which aims to be the first to offer streamed advertising slots over the web. IchooseTV will broadcast 30 second slots to viewers who will be able to choose their own personalised television viewing schedules.

Streaming onto the net, without the need for conventional TV schedules, ichoosetv will provide a viewing platform for programming which can be tailored to the viewer’s personal tastes. Choosing from a variety of programming genre, the viewer will be able to create their own channel from the content available. Advertisers, with details of the personal preferences of each viewer, will be able to precisely target a specific audience, delivering “no-wastage” media buying.

The site is set to go live throughout Europe from September headed by Richard Kilgarriff, formerly director of programming at Rapture TV, who is currently looking for interested advertisers to develop ads for the service, which is set to revolutionise TV viewing.

“This is the start of the consumer-led revolution in TV programming. The internet allows us to offer free original content and capture a precisely profiled audience for advertisers, through our interactive TV service. Viewers can see what they want, when they want.

“For advertisers we can provide them no-waste streamed advertising to an exact number of profiled viewers. We will also sweep up much of the high quality, original content from independent producers sitting on the shelf waiting for distribution.”
