Damon Lafford to leave C4 following restructure

As part of a company restructure initiated by chief commercial officer Jonathan Allan, Damon Lafford will be leaving Channel 4 at the end of August.

The restructure follows an expansion of Allan’s role earlier this year, in which he took on leadership of the organisation’s Nations & Regions strategy and the process to establish a new National HQ and two new Creative Hubs.

The move will see Channel 4’s current two head of agency & client sales roles merged into one new role, with the aim to provide more integrated leadership of all the agency and client sales teams and additional leadership support for Allan.

As a result, Damon Lafford will be departing whilst Matt Salmon takes on this newly combined role.

“Damon has made a massive contribution towards the success of 4Sales over the last six years,” said Allan.

“He’s been an outstanding leader and supportive colleague and I wish him all the very best for the future.”

Salmon takes on the role as head of agency & client sales with immediate effect, and will continue to report directly to Allan.
