Dentsu Aegis Network appoints new chief data officer

Maddie Armitage will be joining Dentsu Aegis Network as chief data officer for the UK & Ireland, overseeing the network’s strategy for data and analytics and working with all its agency brands to improve the products and services they offer clients.

She joins from her position as head of digital products at mobile operator, EE, prior to which she led the digital transformation for British Gas.

She will report into Matthew Hook, chief strategy officer, UK & Ireland, who said: “The digital economy is yielding data that offers potentially huge value. This makes excellence in the way data is handled and aligned with their overall business strategy vital for businesses for the future.

“Maddie has an innate understanding of how to embed it deep in the DNA of business and I look forward to seeing our clients reap the benefits.”

Armitage added: “The pace at which technology is evolving provides businesses with challenges but also great opportunities.
