Superchannel, amid rumours that NBC are to take a stake in the channel, have introduced a £4 million revamped programme schedule and on air identity.
The new format is aimed at 25-40 year olds, rather than the current 17-40 target audience. Newly commissioned programmes include ‘Eco Record’, an environment magazine show; whilst the channel will also be showing recently acquired ‘Bonanza’ and European and American films in the ‘World Cinema’ slot.
Superchannel is received by over 53 million cable homes in Europe, claiming a daily adult audience of 1.9m.
