Shazia Ginai has been promoted to UK CEO of neuromarketing and analytics company Neuro-Insight, as current CEO Heather Andrew steps down from the position.
Andrew has led the firm’s UK business since it was established in 2010, but will be leaving to go into business with her family. However, she will continue to serve on the group board as a non-executive director.
“Raising awareness of the benefits that neuro-marketing can bring to brands’ communication strategies is something I am deeply passionate about, as evidenced by my decision to remain at Neuro-Insight as Non-Executive Director,” Andrew said. However, after nine years with the business she said she is “excited” for a new challenge.
“Having witnessed Shazia’s passion and commitment to the cause first-hand over her two-year tenure, I am fully confident she has the drive and understanding to take the business from strength to strength as UK CEO.”
Ginai joined Neuro-Insight in July 2017 as head of new business, since which the company has gained new clients including The Telegraph, UKTV and Slimfast.
Prior to this, she led the global insight function for beauty brand ghd and spent seven years working in consumer research at FMCG giant Proctor & Gamble.
She will now take over responsibility for strengthening Neuro-Insight’s profile in the field of neuromarketing and further expanding its client portfolio .
Commenting on her promotion, which will be effective as of June 1, Ginai said: “Having worked closely with Heather for the past 24 months, I am delighted to be stepping into the role of CEO at Neuro-Insight UK.
“The company has experienced astronomical growth under Heather’s direction, but while the rate of expansion has been significant (20% year on year for the past four years), our targets remain ambitious.
“It’s an exciting time for innovative research, particularly in the field of neuroscience, and we want to ensure Neuro-Insight remains right at the epicentre of this industry as it continues to grow and develop over the next few years.”
Meanwhile, the company made two further promotions. Mev Bertrand will be moving into the role of head of creative research, while Holly Jordon has been promoted to head of media effectiveness.
