Evening Standard and Independent join Ozone Project

ESI Media’s flagship brands, the Evening Standard and The Independent, are to pool their ad inventory into the Ozone Project, a collaborative effort to make it easier for advertisers to buy premium publisher audiences with a single buying point.

The platform already reaches more than 45 million adults in the UK each month, as well as over 99% of the UK’s online population – now beating Facebook, Google and Amazon for scale in the UK.

The ESI Media titles are first national news brands to join The Ozone Project since its founding by News UK, The Telegraph, The Guardian and Reach plc in 2018. Other members to have joined include magazine publishers Time Out Media, The Stylist Group, and regional publisher DC Thomson.

Major advertisers to have used Ozone’s ‘premium ecosystem’ include British Gas, HM Government, Lidl, Boots, Amazon, Pfizer and Nationwide.

“As we further develop our digital channels across both the Evening Standard and The Independent, we’re excited to join The Ozone Project to make it even easier for brands to connect with our engaged audiences,” said Andy Morley, chief digital revenue officer at ESI Media.
