Mike Cooper is leaving Miroma Group as head of its outdoor operations as the company consolidates out-of-home into a new global business called Enhance Outdoor.
Cooper, announced last September as then Miroma Group’s Global Managing Director Out Of Home Operations, will now be leaving the business.
Miroma Group launched Miroma SET in June and Enhance will now be the global audience and customer amplification company’s global OOH specialist.
A spokeswoman for Miroma Group told Mediatel News that Cooper’s appointment last year was “an exploratory hire to seek out new opportunities.”
She said: “Now we have set up the business, and hired UK and US country leads Tom Pirog and Annie Abbot respectively, we have parted company amicably.”
Cooper, who reported to Miroma SET founder and CEO Marc Boyan, had joined from Interpublic Group, where he was president and chief executive of outdoor agency Rapport Worldwide.
Mike Cooper, who joined last year to develop Miroma’s OOH proposition and identify new opportunities, will now be leaving the company.
Paul Summers, Miroma SET Chief Operating Officer, added: “We would like to thank Mike for his support in the early days of establishing our operations and wish him every success for the future.”
‘Meteoric shift’ in outdoor advertising
Summers explained that Miroma SET has taken a strategic decision to position enhance as its in-house global OOH media specialist across group. It will service agencies such as Dewynters, Wake the Bear and Sold Out in the UK.
The division’s remit is to combine strategy and creativity with technology and data to target and enhance consumer experiences on a local, national or global scale, in OOH environments.
It will have a particualar focus on driving innovation, digital solutions and building addressable audiences, with an emphasis on measuring performance and delivering outcomes.
Lord Michael Grade, Chairman of the board of Miroma SET, added: “Outdoor advertising has undergone a meteoric shift in recent years, with innovation being driven both by media owners and the supporting martech sector. Enhance will work with them to bring brands closer than ever to audiences and their passions.”
