Labour MPs are now being backed by the Liberals in their condemnation of Carlton chairman, Michael Green, who is being criticised for donating money to the Conservative party (Newsline 8/2). The MPs maintain that their main fear is for the future of Independent Television News, which looks as if it will be taken over by a consortium led by Carlton Communications.
