Maiden Helps Attheraces Lead The Field At Aintree

Maiden has created a bespoke 5 day campaign for online betting company Attheraces.co.uk, giving it “ownership” of Aintree Station and public transport routes to the famous race racecourse over this Grand National weekend.
The campaign has used floor panels, banners, 6-sheets, 4-sheets and escalator panels at Lime Street railway station, Lime Street Underground, Liverpool Central, Liverpool Moorfields and Aintree, targeting race-goers on Intercity and suburban routes. Local coverage is provided by 4 and 6 sheets at Bootle, Ainsdale, Birkdale, Formby and Southport.
Aintree was expecting around 120,000 people to visit the race course during the weekend’s race meeting, which began yesterday. The Grand National is already established as the busiest betting day in the UK sporting calendar, and it is thought that the abolition of betting tax may encourage even more to have a flutter.
Earlier this year Maiden’s Transvision department took over London’s Victoria and Waterloo stations in a Valentines’ Day promotion for Muller yoghurt (see Transvision Fills Stations With Muller Love). At the time Maiden indicated that it was planning similar bespoke packages based around events such as Wimbledon and Budget Day.
