Hearst UK is launching new apps for Men’s Health UK and Women’s Health UK as part of an enhancement to both brands’ membership offering.
Through the new apps, members will be able to access exclusive training plans and wellness advice from a variety of fitness experts, as well as the latest health-related news.
The news comes soon after the appointment of editor-in-chief Claire Sanderson, who took over both titles earlier this month after working as editor-in-chief of solely Women’s Health since 2018.
The membership business model has been developed by magazine publishers like Hearst to provide additional benefits to consumers beyond a standard print or digital subscription.
Women’s Health Collective and Men’s Health Squad, the respective membership plans for each magazine, cost £89.99 annually and include additional training plans and workouts, access to fitness coaches, and exclusive newsletters, in addition to access to the new apps and standard magazine subscription.
“Women’s Health and Men’s Health have led the way when it comes to engaging health-conscious consumers. To further drive this engagement, we’re constantly looking at different ways we can bring our brands to life with new and exciting propositions,” said Hearst UK chief customer officer David Robinson.
“The new apps and enhanced membership offerings will allow us to create even stronger and deeper relationships with existing and new members, whilst building more opportunities for the future with premium content that people want to pay for.”
