“AI has its place, in the background, helping with the ideas on the targeting front for advertisers, making sure that we get relevant ads to the right people using that data. I personally don’t really want to see a world where we’re replacing valid and authentic voices with the machine.”

That’s the view of podcast publisher Acast’s international MD, Megan Davies, who spoke to The Media Leader at The Year Ahead 2024.

Davies also reflected on highlights from the event’s main panel, which heard rallying cries for the return of creativity in media.
