Clear Channel rolls out 3,500th roadside digital six-sheet

Clear Channel has expanded its Adshel Live roadside digital six-sheet network to 3,500 screens.

The 3,500th screen was installed in Southampton. Adshel Live, which launched in 2015, is now present in 350 UK towns and cities.

This means Clear Channel now accounts for half of the UK’s entire roadside digital six-sheet market.

Adshel Live generates more than 628m impacts and has a national reach of 36m fortnightly, according to Route51.

“Through its scale, flexibility and ability to leverage smart planning data, Adshel Live is the one-to-many platform for brands, helping advertisers reach their audiences every single day,” said Richard Bon, UK managing director and Europe commercial lead at Clear Channel.

Commeting about Adshel Live, Joanna Williams, UK head of media at Samsung Electronics, said it “delivers a powerful dual role in our campaigns — a high-quality broadcast presence that can reach a mass audience and coverage of key retail hotspots to ensure our products are always visible near stores to drive sales.

“Quality at scale is a winning combination, especially for our new product launches.”

Clear Channel has also emphasised its commitment to reduce the environmental impact of Adshel Live. Every new or upgraded screen within the network is 50% more energy efficient than the previous generation, according to the company.

As well as using only renewable energy, Adshel Live screens are switched off between 12am and 5am each day, reducing energy consumption by 16%.

Since 2021, Clear Channel has supported black entrepreneurs with free ad space on Adshel Live through the Compass scheme.
