Seminar To Throw Spotlight On TV Technology

MediaTel Group Seminar Logo Tomorrow will see the latest broadcast devices put under the spotlight by MediaTel Group’s TV Technology Seminar, held in association with MediaGuardian.

Taking place at from 9.30am – 11.30am at the Guardian Newsroom, 60 Farringdon Road, London, the event will see a panel chaired by Steve Busfield, media editor, Guardian Unlimited, discussing today’s hottest topics in TV technology, including personal video recorders, interactive television, high definition TV, video on demand and internet protocol TV.

A panel formed of Tess Alps, chairman of PHD; Nigel Foote, managing partner at Starcom; Rahul Chakkara, Head of BBCi and Andrew McIntosh, research director for ids, will also answer questions from the floor, debating the commercial opportunities and barriers of new television technologies.

The discussion topic is guaranteed to spark an interesting debate, with new devices such as Sky’s PVR-equipped HDTV equipment and the BBC’s recently announced Pandora project likely to be high on the agenda.

A market review and forecasts from Lucy Shepherd, editorial manager of MediaTel INSIGHT will also feature, while James Wildman, executive sales director at ids will provide a brief presentation on Interactive TV opportunities.
