Thinkbox Bolsters Board With Senior Appointments

Thinkbox Logo Television marketing body, Thinkbox, has appointed several high-profile media figures to its board, with Justin Sampson, head of strategic sales at ITV; Nick Milligan, managing director of Sky Media and James Wildman, executive sales director at ids all lending their expertise to the organisation.

Also joining the board is Simon Cox, vice president of UK advertising sales, sponsorships and promotions at Turner.

The new members join Thinkbox’s four existing board members, Andy Barnes, sales director of Channel 4; Mark White, executive director of sales at Five; Clive Crouch, sales director at GMTV and Nick Bampton, managing director of Viacom Brand Solutions.

Commenting on the new members, Barnes said: “I am delighted to welcome Justin, Nick, James and Simon to the Board. We have completed our first successful six months of operations and the Thinkbox Board and Working Group are currently working on plans to focus on helping customers get more out of television.”

July saw Thinkbox hold its first event, The Thinkbox Experience, attracting delegates from clients, agencies and sales houses all keen to listen to the marketing opportunities that television has to offer (see Thinkbox Experience A Hit With Participants).

The marketing body plans several similar events in the future, with its aim to convey the power and flexibility of television marketing to advertisers and agencies alike.
