Ocean Bolsters Poster Portfolio With Lightbox Sites

Ocean Outdoor Logo Outdoor advertising operator, Ocean Outdoor, has extended its portfolio of poster sites by almost 50% with the launch of its new 081 pack, a series of nine metre square lightbox panels at key locations in London and other major conurbations.

The new sites offer premium exposure to volume audiences of drivers, office workers and shoppers, as well as patrons of bars and restaurants. The first advertiser to use the new pack is American beer brand Michelob, with a campaign for its Ultra beer, using the headline “An evolution in beer”.

Ocean began trading at the start of the year, founded by managing director Damian Cox, a former employee of blowUP Media who went on to sell his own company E.K. Straas to Clear Channel.

Commenting on the expansion, Cox said: “This is a unique package that provides size, illumination, impact and audience traffic all at much more reasonable prices than the normal banner products. It enables advertisers to build a proper large format campaign that has true impact and value.”

Ocean’s portfolio now includes 25 sites in major conurbations, with high profile advertisers such as VW, Budweiser, Apple and Sony running campaigns through its network.

last month saw expand its sales operations with the employment of Mark Wilkinson as its first sales director. The company described its performance so far as “excellent,” with a “determination to build a profitable rather than purely volume-based business” paying dividends (see Expanding Ocean Outdoor Hires Sales Director).
