Emap Unveils Latest Marketing Push For Kiss

Emap Advertising and OMD UK have announced an exclusive deal between Kiss Radio and easyJet, offering 48 Kiss listeners the chance to win trip to a series of club nights in Chamonix in the French Alps.

The three month campaign, brokered by OMD UK, will offer prizes during a dedicated competition week in each month of the campaign. Kiss will broadcast three separate eastJet competition weeks for listeners to win places on one of the three trips to the Alps.

Will Spence, Business manager at OMD UK said: “We are looking to promote easyJet’s winter ski routes in an engaging way, outside of the traditional channels airlines use, that brings to life easyJet’s new ‘Come On, Let’s fly!’ positioning. The audience provided by Kiss is strong in delivering the people we want to consider using as easyJet as a carrier to go skiing.”

All winners on the new competition will receive their flights, accommodation, ski equipment and lift pass as well as VIP entry into the Kiss easyJet party. Commenting on the new deal, Emma Curwood, market manager at easyJet said: “We are pleased to collaborate with Kiss on this activity, with the three month campaign maximising our exposure through the Kiss brand. Kiss listeners are the exact audience we want to inspire and excite about the flexibility and value easyJet offers.”

Helen Robinson, sponsorship and promotion account director ar Emap Advertising said: “We successfully ran ‘Kiss in the Snow’ activity for six years and now ‘Kiss in the Alps’ is set to be an even bigger and better campaign. This deal has partnered two vibrant brands with activity perfectly targeted to Kiss listeners.”

Last summer, Emap announced the largest advertising push in three years to promote Kiss, comprising of a outdoor event, advertised across all media.

‘Kiss On the Green’ was created by Naked, HHCL and Odd, and bought by Starcom Motive, costing Emap a massive £1.5 million. The outdoor events offered visitors access to many of the city’s parks free footballs, frisbees, towels or T-shirts, as well as entertaining them with swing ball games and free ice creams, all to a backdrop of Kiss music (see Emap Unveils Massive Advertising Push For Kiss).
