Mackenzie Steps Down From Highbury

Kelvin Mackenzie Kelvin Mackenzie has resigned as chairman of magazine publisher Highbury House Communications, leaving the company after just three months in the role.

The high profile media boss, who secured the chairman’s position in September (see

Earlier this month saw Highbury request that trading in its shares be suspended, following the termination of extended refinancing talks.

Announcing his decision to resign, Mackenzie said this morning: “I gave it my best shot but was defeated by a mountain of debt which had been accumulated over the past three years.” It is not yet known what Mackenzie’s next move will be.
