Take1 Signs Sushi Distribution Deal

Take1 Logo Free film magazine Take1 has increased its distribution footprint with a deal to see Japanese restaurant YO! Sushi stock the title in locations close to London’s cinemas.

The magazine, launched earlier this year, will now be available in YO! Sushi outlets in Haymarket, Trocadero, myhotel Tottenham Court Road, Islington, Whiteleys Bayswater, Fulham Broadway and O2 Finchley Road.

The distribution deal adds to Take1‘s existing distribution outlets via UCI cinemas, central London independent cinemas, Zone 1 tube stations and key West End retail outlets and cafes. The magazine now reaches 30,000 Londoners with every issue.

Commenting on the tie-up with YO! Sushi, Elizabeth Hackford, publisher of Take1 said: “This is another great step for Take1 as we look to further expand our footprint in London and consolidate our position as one of the first choices for advertisers trying to reach the cinema-going audience.

“The response from readers and advertisers since we launched has been tremendous and this partnership with YO! Sushi puts our magazine in the hands of exactly the consumers we’re targeting. We are positive that this is a partnership we can build on in the future.”

Georgia Hall, head of marketing at YO! Sushi, added: “Take 1 is the only magazine YO! Sushi displays and endorses within our restaurants. The stylish design, stimulating editorial content and cute size fit the YO! Sushi brand values.”

Launched in September, Take1 features distinguished film journalists including Karen Krizanovich, Alan Frank, Marianne Gray, Rich Cline and Ivan Waterman. Aimed at urban Londoners and heavy cinema-goers, the magazine is published by Take Media.
