City AM Claims More Readers Than FT

City AM Logo Research commissioned by free morning newspaper City AM claims that more workers in the City and Canary Wharf now read the title than the Financial Times.

The findings, unearthed by research firm NOP, show 16% of London’s population read City AM, compared to 12% who read the FT.

NOP also reports City AM’s readership reaching 98,000, almost half the working population of London’s core business centres in one week.

Most significantly, the new research, conducted via face to face interviews with 500 respondents, shows 60% of City AM readers claiming not to read the Times, Daily Telegraph or FT.

Jeremy Phillips, sales and marketing director at City AM, welcomed the findings, stating: “We are delighted by such a positive reaction from our target readership of business professionals. Within just three months of launching, City AM is now an established read for City workers and we are confident that our reach will continue to grow as we establish more targeted distribution initiatives.”

Last month saw City AM cash in on the return of big bonuses in the financial world with its largest stand-alone supplement to date, offering 39 pages of property advertising to target the Capital’s highest earning professionals (see City AM Expands With Largest Ever Supplement).
