ITV Bothered By Catherine Tate Christmas Special

Catherine Tate BBC Two’s Catherine Tate Christmas Special performed well last night, notching up an average adult audience of 4.7 million to outperform all other broadcasters in the same time slot.

ITV’s rival Abba’s All Time Greatest Hits failed to out-do Tate in the competing time slot, with an average audience of 4.3 million, although the musical extravaganza did take the lead after the BBC Christmas Special had finished.

Elsewhere, BBC One saw the highlight of its evening in Eastenders, with an average of 8.5 million adult viewers tuning in. Channel 4 performed well, with Tony Robinson’s Titanic Adventure attracting 2.4 million, while Five saw 2.8 million viewers for CSI: Miami.
