GCap Media will shortly launch a new department, known as Spice, which aims to offer clients more integrated and innovative solutions across GCap’s portfolio of brands and platforms.
The department brings together the existing sponsorship and promotions team, commercial programming department and entertainment and event promotion specialists.
The department, led by Anna Pennington, will have four divisions: business development, which will offer agencies a key point of contact from which to tap into the varying expertise of the department; entertainment which will give film, music, concert and event promoters dedicated representation.
The other divisions include commercial programming, which incorporates a team of specialists with a programming, production or editorial background, and the fourth key area of the department is a specialist client services team who manage long-term partnerships.
The department’s aim is to offer clients and agencies more in-depth creative solutions to further embed commercial messages within station output. The department disciplines will span all elements of beyond the spot advertising including sponsorship, promotions, programme creation, podcasting, interactive, content, community initiatives, entertainment and events.
The launch of GCap Spice is part of a change in emphasis that GCap is undertaking in how they work with agencies and clients. Spice will work closely with agency sales offering a dedicated and integrated access point, particularly to agency planning departments.
