I’m A Celebrity… Brings Back The Viewers

I'm A Celebrity... I’m A Celebrity… attracted a peak audience of 8.2 million adults (a 36.3% audience share) to ITV1 last night, no doubt all eager to see what would happen when the jungle dwellers were split into two teams.

The show did not disappoint, with a raucous ruck over a task to win some cheese and biscuits the highlight of the episode. Across its hour long running time it managed an average of 7.9 million adult viewers (a 35.5% share of the audience), up from an average of 6.9 million on Sunday night.

It was a good night for ITV1, with Coronation Street bringing in peak figures of 10.2 million and 9.4 million adults for its 7.30pm and 8.30pm editions respectively.

The channel’s rural soap Emmerdale, on at 7pm, also did well, with an average audience of 8.1 million adults across its half hour running time, and a peak figure of 8.4 million adults.

BBC One’s most viewed show of last night was Eastenders, which garnered a peak audience of 9.2 million adults (a 43.9% share) and an average audience of 8.7 million adults (a 42.2% share).
