Xfm is reshuffling its daytime schedule as Richard Bacon returns to the station from Capital Radio to front its drivetime show.
The lineup changes at the GCap Media station will see Ian Camfield move to the mid-morning show, taking over from Shaun Keaveny who is promoted to the afternoon slot. Keaveny will taking the helm of Xfm’s flagship request show The X-List.
Bacon then fronts a new look drivetime show which will include a live music element, followed by Sarah Darling on Music:Response at 7pm. Sarah has co-hosted the show with Ian Camfield for nearly three years and, says Xfm, is a popular choice with the station’s evening audience.
Shaun Keaveny will continue to host the Friday Breakfast Show with the remainder of the Friday schedule looking the same. Lauren Laverne will still be presenting the Music:Response chart countdown and Adam Longworth will stay as the presenter of the Sony nominated The Weekender show from 6pm.
At the weekend James Hyman will take The Rinse to the new timeslot of 9pm-1am on Saturday nights, while Iain Baker, who currently hosts the mid afternoon show, will remain on the station although his new timeslot has not yet been identified.
Xfm London Programme Director Andy Ashton said: “The changes I am making now are about getting the right people in the right places to help Xfm continue the momentum and success that we have enjoyed over the last three years. It’s a fantastic time for the Xfm Network and the music that Xfm is so passionate about. Lauren Laverne, Ian Camfield, Shaun Keaveny and the re-joining Richard Bacon are all great talents to work with and I believe this is the most exciting daytime line-up we have ever offered our listeners.”
