Kiss Unveils New Logo Ahead Of Expansion

Kiss Logo Emap’s Kiss radio has revealed its new logo as the countdown continues to the radio network’s expansion and relaunch.

The new logo has been designed by Odd and will form part of a marketing campaign to back the relaunch and expansion of the radio network.

From September 6, Vibe 101, covering Bristol, South Wales and the South West of England, and Vibe 105- 108 in East Anglia will become Kiss and feature a whole host of new talent.

Nick Button, Kiss marketing director, said the new logo was part of the wider-reaching changes at Kiss which will see editorial changes, increased distribution and a new focus on Kiss’ digital strategy (see Emap Revamps And Expands Kiss FM Radio Network).

The new logo will play an integral part in a forthcoming marketing campaign which will mark the expansion of Kiss into the south west and east of England.

The creative and communications strategy is by Odd, with media buying by Starcom. The campaign will kick-off with the production of hundreds of thousands of Kiss “K’s” which will appear in a variety of different formats and executions, sizes and scales in unusual situations and places.

Button said: “Rather than going for the tried and tested traditional above the line approach, we are going for a fresh and creative approach which will generate talkability; introduce a new brand to a new audience and encourage listeners to interact from day one.”

Richard Hart, creative director, Odd, said: “We wanted to create an iconic and confident symbol for the Kiss brand. The logo will work as a static form but also contains an origami style device which will animate across Kiss’ visual platforms conveying Kiss’ constant evolution, relentless energy and position as a true entertainment brand.”
