Emap Performance To Merge Radio Stations

Emap Performance is to merge its Magic AM and Big City FM radio stations, as well as adding a new tier of management.

According to reports in the trade press, the Magic stations are to join Emap’s Big City network, making a group of 32 local AM and FM services in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England.

The 32 stations will be overseen by Trevor Baxter, who will also remain managing director of Big City network. Seven regional managing directors will be appointed to work under him.

The new Big City Regions are: East Scotland, west Scotland, Northern Ireland, Grampian, north east England, Yorkshire and north west England.
