Carat Restructures Digital Arm Following Account Wins

Carat Logo Carat Digital is to restructure following a raft of new business wins in the last six months, with the company repositioning itself to cope with more contract acquisitions in the near future.

The personnel changes follow more than £10 million in new business wins for the company, including Airmiles, IHG, WWE and Allegran, which amounted to £6 million in January alone.

The company’s strong performance follows the appointment of joint managing directors, Ben Wood and Henry Rowe, who took up their roles in August 2005, joining from creative agency Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy where they had worked together as communications planning directors.

The new structure will includes a number of key promotions within the agency, as well as several new appointments.

Dina Gower and Julie Jeancolas become group account directors, while Sarah Gautrey is promoted to account director.

Elsewhere, new appointments include Cindy Lee, who joins Carat Digital as account director from Mindshare, while Vanessa Vakirtzi joins as an account executive. Elsewhere, the company’s search team has been expanded, with Hasina Mukhi joining as search strategist from Dixons Group.

Commenting on the changes, Ben Wood said: “It has been a fantastic six months, we have won some really exciting accounts and in the meantime we have been able to restructure and strengthen the agency so that there is now a greater focus on strategy, client service and specialised services such as search and affiliate marketing. With our new structure in place, we are looking forward to another busy but rewarding six months.”
