Dennis Publishing Creates New Product Development Unit

Dennis Publishing Dennis Publishing has created a New Product Development unit to identify opportunities and to launch sustainable media businesses.

Headed up by Bruce Sandell, MD of Dennis Lifestyle, the ten strong unit will incorporate Dennis Skunkworks, Dennis’ dedicated website development team.

James Tye, CEO at Dennis Publishing, said: “Dennis Publishing has always been a company where we can pick up a great idea and just run with it. Our 21st century approach to publishing means we can launch products on any number of platforms and find a relevant and engaged audience for our advertisers.

“Bruce’s 18 years of publishing experience across a wide range of media makes him the ideal person to pick up the 20 or so launch ideas we have and turn at least five of them into reality.”

In his new role, Sandell will remain overseeing the portfolio of lifestyle titles in his MD position.

However, he will no longer publish Maxim day to day, with this responsibility passing onto publishing director Simon Clark.

Sandell said: “2008 will be the year of new product development for Dennis Publishing.

“This is part of the long-term plan for growing the company and there has never been a better time to do it, we are in great shape and poised for growth with the wealth of new ideas coming forward from the team to develop.”
