Easy Living Magazine To Get YouTube Channel

YouTube Easy Living the women’s monthly magazine, is to get its own channel on YouTube, following the launch of Vogue, Glamour and Brides on the video-sharing site.

The new channel will show cookery videos featuring the magazine’s food editor, David Herbert.

Abigail Chisman, general manager for Conde Nast Interactive, said, “We’re keen to capitalise on this premier destination for online video as a platform for our brands.”

At the last ABCs, Easy Living pushed its circulation up almost 10% year on year, despite remaining static period on period. The title added almost 18,000 issues to its total year on year and now boasts a circulation of 200,116 (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2006:Glamour Leads Women’s Monthlies As Real Bows Out).

Research published by IPC Southbank in March revealed that almost 70% of women claim that they could not live without the internet, with almost three quarters of respondents saying that they now spend more time online compared with last year (see 70% Of Women Couldn’t Live Without The Internet).

Yesterday NatMags announced that it is axing its weekly digital-only magazine for women, Jellyfish, following problems with marketing and distribution (see NatMags Axes Jellyfish After Trial Problems).

Last week, IPC Media unveiled its new online women’s lifestyle portal, Goodtoknow.co.uk, which will act as the central portal of IPC Connect’s weekly titles Pick Me Up, Woman’s Weekly, Now and Woman’s Own (see IPC Unveils Women’s Online Lifestyle Portal).

Tomorrow sees the ABC concurrent release for the first six months of 2007 and NewsLine will have full coverage and in-depth analysis of the major sectors.
