Adult Channel Gets Positive Viewing

Over a quarter of a million viewers now watch the UK’s first adult- entertainment channel, according to the Adult Channel’s first audience survey released today. From the study, results show that a large proportion of this audience is male, under 45, ABC1 and living in southern Britain. The service has been available on Astra 1B since January 1992 and is transmitted to more than 135,000 subscribing UK homes.

The survey, conducted by Continental Research, shows that: 83% of the audience watch at least once a week; Average viewing is 3 days a week for 1.6 hours at a time; 69% are intending to re-subscribe; 68% think the channel is good value for money.
