Yahoo! Launches Mobile Search Service In Britain

OneSearch, the mobile search service from Yahoo!, has launched in the UK following the service’s arrival Stateside two months ago.

The service is accessed via Yahoo!’s mobile web page, with it delivering results with one search instead of a series of web links to PC sites, to any mobile phone with a browser and internet access.

Clicking on an ad will take users to the advertisers’ mobile website or landing page to get additional information, whilst consumers will also be able to call the advertiser directly.

At launch, users will be able to search local listings with phone number, distance and ‘click to call’ options as well as access services including news, finance and weather.

New content feeds will be added to the service over the coming months.
