ITV Not Phased By Satellite Competition

Speaking at a satellite conference in London yesterday Craig Pearman, managing director of Media Airtime Sales, claimed that ITV is confident in its stance against satellite competition, with the belief being that there is adequate room for all players in the field.

Mr Pearman says that satellite’s gradual move to subscription will limit its audience, making any fall in ITV’s share of viewing minimal and spread over a long period.

Pearman has sold his 20% stake in Media Airtime Sales to Yorkshire Tyne Tees Television.
