GCap And iTunes In Co-Marketing Campaign

GCap Media Logo GCap Media has entered a co-marketing campaign with iTunes including a series of integrated initiatives aiming to simplify the consumer journey between music discovery and purchase.

Specific initiatives will see GCap embed contextual links to the iTunes store within their online players, playlists and relevant articles across the portfolio of 53 websites.

Radio listeners will also be able to download playlist highlights, podcasts and station-recommended albums straight from station-branded areas created within the iTunes Store. Launch brands include Xfm, Capital 95.8, Choice and Classic FM.

The activity will be supported by a heavyweight campaign of on-air trails, live DJ mentions, competitions, newsletter activity to GCap Media’s 1,300,000 database and significant online promotion, across the entire GCap portfolio.

To support the campaign GCap and iTunes will collaborate on a number of unique offers for station listeners and VIPs.

Listeners of Xfm can register online to receive five free downloads of live material recorded at this year’s iTunes Festival:London, while Capital 95.8 are giving their listeners the chance to win an iPod Touch and every play-listed track from 2007.

Robin Pembroke, group director interactive and online, said: “We are really excited about this campaign with iTunes. It allows our users to easily buy the music they are listening to on our stations.

“It’s another step in developing innovative listening experiences for the computer, iPod and iPhone.”
