TVTimes To Publish Diana Commemorative Issue

TVTimes TVTimes is publishing a Princess Diana commemorative issue, which will have four different covers to collect, each depicting a key aspect of the Princess’ life.

The four covers show Diana the mother, the icon, the charity worker and the Princess. Inside the issue, there is a six-page Diana feature that includes a host of memories that readers and TVTimes‘s favourite stars have of the Princess, as well as details of the concert for Diana at Wembley stadium.

TVTimes editor, Ian Abbott, said: “Even after 10 years, Princess Diana resonates with our readers, and this was clear from the huge response to our request for special photos and memories. Diana is still greatly loved and missed and I’m pleased that TVTimes could publish this commemorative issue.”

The Diana special issue will also highlight the following week’s issue of TVTimes, which will include a promotion offering every reader a free copy of Diana, The Story of a Princess by Tim Clayton and Phil Craig, worth £8.

The TVTimes Diana special goes on sale June 26 and the issue offering the free book goes on sale July 3.

The last ABC figures, for July-December 2006, show that TVTimes was down by 7.5% year on year, a drop in real terms of just over 30,400 copies, leaving it with a total figure of 377,473.

In January 2006, TVTimes unveiled a new look, with a greater emphasis placed on digital TV coverage and big star interviews. The new look also came with an increase in cover price (see TVTimes Sees Hike In Cover Price).
