RSL Awarded RAJAR Contract

The new RAJAR contract has been awarded to RSL.

Negotiations on the final specification for the RAJAR research, which is worth £2m a year over four years, should be concluded and the contract signed in March . Fieldwork will begin in September, with first data publication in January 1993.

Fieldwork will be conducted in all four quarters (September-December, December- March , March-June , June-September). Data will be published for both Independent Radio and the BBC,quarterly for national services, six-monthly for regional and larger local services, and annually for all other participating services. Results will be available on- line and via disk or hard copy.

RAJAR is jointly owned by AIRC and BBC, and the IPA, AMI and ISBA are represented on the RAJAR Board/manage- ment committee. The RAJAR secretariat will be based at the IPA offices.
