BREAKING NEWS: Final Panellist Confirmed For Newspaper Seminar

Simon Marquis Simon Marquis, chairman of the National Readership Survey, has been confirmed as the final panellist for MediaTel Group’s forthcoming ‘Future of National Newspapers’ seminar.

Marquis joins Jo Blake, head of press at BLM; Ian Clark, general manager of thelondonpaper; Stuart Taylor, commercial director of Guardian News & Media, and Ray Snoddy, media journalist, as well as chair Torin Douglas, the BBC’s media correspondent.

The head of the NRS will undoubtedly field questions from delegates and fellow panellists about the future of the survey, its relevance and the body’s plans to measure web plus print.

Other topics expected to be discussed at the event include; what is really working for newspapers beyond the traditional print model, whether the selling of online and print together is really happening and if agencies are ready for this.

Panellists are also set to discuss the growth of the free newspapers and the likelihood of a major daily title heading in the same direction.

The seminar will take place between 9.30am and 11.30am next Wednesday 4 July, at One Great George Street, Westminster, London, with tea and coffee to be served from 8.45am.
