Trinity Mirror To Launch 11 Regional Mobile Sites

Trinity Mirror is launching 11 regional mobile news sites by the end of the year, offering advertisers formats such as sponsorship and banner ads.

The sites, which will follow last week’s launch of the Birmingham Post‘s mobile service, will provide free content and be financed through long-term sponsorship deals and banner ads.

Sponsorship of the mobile sites will initially be managed by the mobile and interactive team at Trinity Mirror.

It is understood that this week will see mobile site launches for The Chronicle and The Journal in Newcastle and The Gazette in Teeside.

The Daily Post and Echo in Liverpool, the Huddersfield Examiner, the Daily Post Wales, The Western Mail and Echo in South Wales, the Coventry Telegraph and the Birmingham Mail will also see regional mobile launches.
