MediaTel Group Holding ‘Future of Online’ Seminar

MediaTel Group Logo MediaTel Group is hosting a full morning seminar on November 25 looking at the ‘Future of Online’, with a £20 discount for those who book their tickets by October 31.

Panellists confirmed for the event so far include: Trevor Johnson, planning and strategy, EMEA at Facebook; Richard Parboo, head of agency sales strategy at ITV; Robert Horler, managing director of Diffiniti; Khalil Ibrahimi, managing director of Unanimis; Dominic Allon, industry leader, Agency at Google; and Nick Suckley, founding partner of agenda21.

The morning will be in two parts, with the first session focusing on trading. It will look at how online revenue growth can be maintained, how industry research can help, whether online search is working productively alongside traditional media and if search exists outside Google anymore.

Session two will ask the panel to debate the future shape of the industry. Discussion topics include:

  • Is the Google/Yahoo! deal good for the industry and how will this affect MSN and Platform-A?
  • Can Google still claim it offers no threat to agencies?
  • Is online under-regulated?
  • What will the industry look like in five years’ time?

Google was also a big topic at the last ‘Future of Online’ seminar, with some on the panel wondering if it was in danger of becoming a company that everyone wants to see fail (see Google ‘Could Become Company Everyone Wants To Fail’), and it will be interesting to see what the current take is on the search engine giant.

The event will take place on Tuesday 25 November, at One Great George Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 3AA.

More information, including booking details, is on the MediaTel Group seminar site.
