Dennis Publishing Sales Team Gets New Structure And Appointments

Dennis Magazines Dennis Publishing has announced a new structure and new appointments within its 100 strong advertising division as it seeks to capitalise on its print and online brands.

Effective immediately, Dennis has created and made appointments to the brand new roles of press trading director and digital trading director. Dan Reeves has been appointed press trading director for The Week and Men’s Lifestyle Divisions and Jamie Labate has been appointed to the role of digital trading director within Dennis Interactive.

Previously commercial director for The Week, Reeves has been with Dennis since 2006. As press trading director Reeves’ remit is to enhance and facilitate closer print trading with Dennis Publishing’s key print brands and the UK’s leading media agencies.

Labate rejoins Dennis having spent four years as advertising director at the New Scientist. He brings over nine years of media sales experience to his new role, including four years specifically within the online sector. He will work to improve client and agency relationships and enhance the sell of online and offline Dennis media.

Reeves and Labate will work closely together, reporting into Julian Lloyd Evans, managing director of advertising at Dennis Publishing. The two roles and the advertising division will combine to further develop the cross-platform sales strategies of Dennis’ key print and online brands.

Dennis has also appointed Russell Blackman as advertising director for the Dennis Lifestyle brands. With immediate effect, Blackman will oversee Maxim, Men’s Fitness, Viz, Bizarre, Fortean Times, Inside Poker and Poker Player in this operational board role. Blackman will lead a team of 13, reporting into Reeves.

Julian Lloyd-Evans, MD of advertising, Dennis Publishing, said: “We are very excited to be announcing this new structure for our sales division. Through improving the relationship between our digital and print sales teams we are also improving our cross-platform advertising opportunities and the value for our advertising partners.”
