ITV Could Take Legal Action Over Airey Move

ITV Logo ITV could take legal action against Dawn Airey after she quit as managing director of global content to join RTL Group as chief executive and chairman of Five.

Tempers are said to have frayed after Airey announced her departure to the executive chairman, Michael Grade, and the ITV board earlier this week, reports the Guardian.

It is understood that a potential legal action could relate to the protection of commercially sensitive information.

However, the report quotes sources who claim that wider business interests between ITV and RTL mean that the action might not go ahead.

Jane Lighting is resigning from her position as Five chief executive today, with Mark White, Five’s executive director of sales, serving as interim CEO until Airey takes over (see Lighting Resigns As Five CEO).
