Mindshare: “Business leaders are optimistic about the future”

Mindshare Logo Business leaders are optimistic about 2009 despite the current economic climate, according to new research from Mindshare.

A survey of 5,500 business decision makers, across a number of countries including the UK, France, Brazil, Russia, India, China, Mexico and the US, found that 96% are “optimistic about the future”.

However, 73% of the participants claimed that “economic uncertainty” was their main worry.

According to the survey, half considered finding and keeping talent a priority, while 80% saw their role as getting the best from others Vs leading from the front.

86% also said they had a focus on attending to priorities rather than a focus on problems.

Sheila Byfield, leader of business planning at Mindshare Worldwide, said: “Change drivers like Sir Richard Branson and Sir Martin Sorrell never stop looking for opportunities whether times are good or bad.

“This group has different attitudes to other senior executives,” she continued. “They influence the future shape of our business worlds and are incredibly important to the future direction of business brands.”
