Future revamps T3 magazine

Future's Titles The specialist magazine publisher Future is set to relaunch its gadget title T3 with a host of new features in a bid to distinguish the title from its rival, Stuff magazine.

The revamped May issue, which is due to hit newsstands next week, will place Future’s gadget title as a “broadsheet” alternative to Stuff‘s “tabloid magazine”, according to the publisher.

New features will include three new sections that will cover the latest gadgets for home, work, play and outdoors as well as longer features, between 3,000 and 4,000 words long.

T3 will also introduce a new monthly contribution by Newsweek columnist Dan Lyons, but will retain its cover price of £3.99.

In the latest ABC release, T3 enjoyed a slight year on year increase of 0.2% to just over 60,100 copies between January to December 2008, while Haymarket Publishing Group’s Stuff witnessed a 1.9% year on year decline to around 95,000 copies (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2008:Shortlist shows staying power in men’s lifestyle sector).
