WPP Extends Reach In Poland

Global advertising firm, WPP, has announced the purchase of Polish market research company, Pentor Instytut Badania Opinii i Rynku S.A, integrating the business into its global market research network, Research International.

Pentor has been affiliated to Research International since its beginning in 1991, with its clients including Frito-Lay, Polska Telekom, PKN Orlen, Dr Oetker Polska and Unilever.

The business’s revenues for the year ended 31st December 2005 reached PLN 31.8 million, with net assets of PLN 5.7 million.

The move sees WPP continue its strategy of developing its networks in faster growing markets and sectors. The firm recently announced the acquisition of US marketing and interactive agency, Bridge Worldwide (see WPP Extends Online Healthcare Offerings).
