Interpublic Could Overhaul Media Operations

Interpublic Group, the holding company of agencies including Lowe Worldwide and McCann Erickson, could be planning a reshuffle of its media operations in order to bolster its offering to its clients.

The reports claim Mark Rosenthal, current chief executive for media at Interpublic, may take up a less active role.

As part of the overhaul, Nick Brien, former chief executive of Leo Burnett London, is predicted to assume more responsibility.

According to sources, an announcement on the overhaul of Interpublic’s media operations should be made in the near future.

It was recently announced that Terri Santisi, Interpublic Media’s chief financial officer, would be departing the group to work for marketing firm IMG.

In August, Interpublic reported first half revenue of $2.86 billion, compared to $2.94 billion during the first six months of 2005 (see Interpublic Revenues Fall).
