All3Media Acquires Maverick TV

All3Media has bought Maverick Television, one of Britain’s leading regionally based TV production companies.

The deal for Maverick was made for an undisclosed sum and will see the firm join All3Media’s stable of 11 other production companies.

Maverick TV is recognised as one of Britain’s leading producers in digital media. Its award winning and rapidly expanding new media department recently won the 4Homes site for Channel 4, alongside their long established track record in educational media.

Jim Sayer, managing director, Maverick Television, said: “Maverick is a company that has built its reputation on challenging, exciting and innovative television. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to join All3Media’s group of strong individual TV production companies that retain their distinctive brands. Being part of All3Media will help us to grow the business and expand our output – both in the UK and abroad.”

Alexandra Fraser, creative director, Maverick Television, added: “For a company that has been proud of its independence, finding the right creative partnership was key for us. We are thrilled to be joining the All3Media group which will help us to realise our ambitions for Maverick. We are really excited about working with Steve Morrison and David Liddiment and the All3Media team.”

Steve Morrison, All3Media’s chief executive, said: “Maverick is one of Britain’s best factual and features TV production companies. Young people in the industry want to work there as they have such a high quality reputation and modern outlook.

“Their regional presence and strength in multi media is also renowned. On behalf of everyone at All3Media, I am delighted they are adding their strengths to our Group of leading TV companies.”
