WPP Expects 6% Revenue Growth

WPP has announced that it expects revenue to grow by around 6% this year, driven by the Olympic Games in China.

The group also predicts that the US elections and the Euro football 2008 football tournament will drive major growth at the company.

Last month, WPP reported a pre-tax profit of £817 million following 5% growth in revenues in the fourth quarter.

The group posted revenues of £6.19 billion as billings rose 5% to £31.7 billion and expects 2008 to be even better.

WPP estimated new billings of £5.03 billion were won last year, reflecting an unprecedented run of new business wins including the Dell, Bank of America and Bose accounts in the final quarter of 2007.
