Jupiter Forecasts Net Boom In Latin America

According to new research by Jupiter, the number of Internet users in the US will rise to 216 million in 2005 from the current figure of 135 million and Latin America’s online population is expected to soar from 21 million in 2000 to 77 million in 2005.

With the increase in Latin America, Jupiter predicts that Latin America’s online advertising market will also rise steadily over the next few years. Whilst revenue from Internet advertising in Latin America is expected to increase to $1.2 billion in 2005, up from $127 million in 2000 it is not expected to draw revenue or favour from the current favourite medium of these countries which is outdoor.
