According to media recruitment agency The Davis Company, media sector salaries have yet to show any signs of falling in line with the general downturn affecting the industry as a whole.
In a survey of clients and candidates over that past year, salaries in the ‘junior’ bracket rose by around 13% whilst salaries for more senior roles rose by between 4% and 7%. The average salary for junior planner/buyers is now £18,000 and for senior planner/buyers, this rose to £31,000.
Client directors saw salaries rise to an average of £73,000 although some had to scrape by on just £45,000.
