Market research agencies saw profits rise by more than half on average over the last three years, according to research from direct marketing and business publishing company, The Prospect Shop.
The largest companies by pre-tax profit margin tend to be smaller in terms of turnover. Pinder Fry & Benjamin realised a margin of 63.7% in 1999/2000, followed by Corporate Information at 45.0%. Sales growths were mixed for the more profitable companies, however, ranging from -24.0% to 51% growth across the three years.
