Worldwide Online Homes Forecasts, By Platform

Forecasts for the number of households with internet access worldwide, showing the split between broadband and narrowband, are shown here. The figures were compiled by ARC Group and reported by Emarketer today.

The forecasts predict that broadband will not become the dominant access method worldwide until 2006, when there will be 165.2 million broadband homes, 146.0 million narrowband homes, giving a total of 311.2 million homes connected to the web.
