Global home networking households are expected to grow from 5.6 million at year-end 2001 to 47.0 million in 2006 – a compound annual growth rate of 53%, according to research by Strategis Group.
As broadband households proliferate, and multiple entertainment, internet, voice and data devices enter the home, consumers will seek ways to connect everything through a single network in the home, says the report.
