Global home networking households are expected to grow from 5.6 million at year-end 2001 to 47.0 million in 2006 – a compound annual growth rate of 53%, according to research by Strategis Group.

The Strategis Group believes that home networking will play a major role in the communications lives of millions of people throughout the world in the coming years.

As broadband households proliferate, and multiple entertainment, internet, voice and data devices enter the home, consumers will seek ways to connect everything through a single network in the home, says the report.
